Viva is officially teething. She woke up this morning with a runny nose and I could feel a bottom front tooth poking through. Why do kids get runny noses when they are teething, anyway? You can see her little red nose in this picture and how miserable she is feeling. Her little face is all red.
There are a couple of points of interest in this picture. 1. Notice what Anna is holding in her hand. Yes, that is a "booger sucker." Anna has been referring to it as "her ice cream cone" and has been carrying it around for several days now. 2. I am amused by Viva's face. It looks like she's trying to decide if the enthusiastic affection (read "scary love") that Anna is showing to her ice cream cone will soon be transferred to herself. Little Viva has been the recipient of a lot of enthusiastic affection from Anna. Today Anna climbed on Viva for a piggy back ride! Viva's a patient little one.

This post made me laugh out loud. I had to read it out loud to Wendel. I guess I shouldn't laugh but the thought of Viva giving Anna a piggyback ride is kind of funny (and scary).
I had a dr once tell me that there was no scientific evidence to prove that babies get a runny nose while teething. Baloney! He should just spend one day with a sniveling, teething, miserable little baby and then he would change his song and dance. :-) It makes sense when you think about all of the sinuses being affected when teeth come it. They are being messed with too.
Anyway, good luck with the teething...and the scary love. :-)
How cute! A booger sucker ice cream cone! We call it a booger sucker, too! Those emerging teeth sure are cute.......and it's a good thing after what we (oh, the baby) have to go through!!
I too laughed out loud - only parents of aggressive little ones know how scary that love can be - there is proof on my fb page. :) How are you guys doing?
Anna looks so triumphant, I am still laughing! :)
